The Mission
The Elizabeth Collins Foundation was established in memory of Elizabeth Collins and in response to the tragic abduction of Elizabeth Collins and Lyric Cook on July 13, 2012. Through advocacy, education, awareness, and support, we are committed to helping protect children, strengthening community safety, and providing hope and resources to families affected by missing persons cases.
Our mission is to prevent abduction, trafficking, and exploitation through education and community engagement while supporting efforts to locate missing individuals, advance investigations, and bring answers to families. We believe every missing person deserves to be remembered, every family deserves support, and every community deserves the knowledge and tools to help keep its members safe.
To fulfill this mission, the Foundation works to:
- Raise awareness of missing persons and cold cases to generate new leads, information, and public engagement.
- Provide financial assistance and resources that support investigations and search efforts.
- Educate children, families, schools, and communities on personal safety, abduction prevention, trafficking awareness, and abuse prevention.
- Advocate for and support families of missing persons through guidance, resources, and connection to support networks.
- Host public awareness campaigns, educational programs, safety events, and community seminars.
- Maintain Angels Park as a place of remembrance, reflection, and hope.
- Assist families facing the crisis of a missing loved one with resources, search support, and emergency needs.
- Partner with organizations, law enforcement agencies, and community groups that share our commitment to protecting children, supporting families, and seeking justice.
- Support organizations and initiatives that help solve crimes and improve community safety.
By working together with families, communities, law enforcement, and nonprofit partners, we strive to create a safer future, bring attention to those still missing, and ensure that no family walks this journey alone.
